We are an all-volunteer group of roughly 30 men and women in Cecil and Kent Counties who serve as Preparers, Facilitators, Trainers, Technical Resources, and Schedulers. We provide excellent classroom training in January of every year to new volunteers who want to help us prepare taxes.
About a third of our volunteers are not preparers but hospitable people who provide the essential services to get clients to us and interact with them in a number of ways.
Recruiting is an on-going concern. Many of us who have volunteered have stayed with AARP Foundation Tax-Aide for year after year after year. But people move on for various reasons, not always by choice. So we need people to join us. Find out more about our program.
